Great experience with a company today

I recently found a mag-Hytec rear end cover in a salvage yard and was able to pick it up for next to nothing. I had a chance to visit RLDSL at his home a few days back, and he suggested a knew o-ring seal for it before I install the thing. I called the company today, explained that i picked up one of their covers in a scrap yard, and asked to buy a new o-ring for it. The guy on the phone took my information, then told me it would be mailed out tomorrow. I asked him how to pay for this part, he said, "you don't pay for this one, these new seals are on us. They only cost us about 3 dollars, and we like to take care of our customers."

I don't know about you, but service like this is rare these days. They are out about 4 bucks to buy it and ship it to me, and I have never bought a thing from them. Just wanted to give them a public thank you.

That's supporting their product. They don't want it to leak and thus that 4 bucks...saves them tons and the environment too!

Thats great. However for the 300 dollars they charge for the covers, a 3 dollar gasket is fairly insignificant.

Mag-Hytec is a good company. And $4 isn't much but it's a bigger deal when you think that the OP told them that he had picked up the cover use, so it means more because the company didn't get any of the OP's money on the first go-round.

Love the product too. Knocked an honest 20 degrees off the stabilized oil temp and service is a breeze!

That's what I was thinking Jim. I haul the fifth wheel camper with that rig, and I'm sure it'd help keep the diff temps in check and I know it woud ease service on the rear axle.

I went up to Mag Hytec for a E4OD pan seal and a drain plug. I got great customer service too. This was about 6 years ago so its nice to know their customer service has stayed the same. I often wonder why so many business's out there are terrible when it comes to treating the customer with respect. I also wonder how a business with horrible customer service stays in business. Reading the Hall of Shame forum tells menew customers come along and are taken avantage of all the time. I too would really like a differancial cover from them but its not happening yet... Neither is the hypermaxt intercoler install... That really makes me feel less than human... Guess I'm just getting too lazy to do much these days... Maybe summer will wake me up...

Their diff covers are the bees knees. During my last diff fluid change while I was under there covered with fluid, I decided, ENOUGH! As much heaving towing as I do, even with synthetic back there, i need to change diff fluid around 50k, and thats just a messy job . With that mag Hytec on there, i I wont even get damp changing it out, then that little addd benefit of the extra fluid capacity, knocks it out of the park. Add to that the magnets on the drain plug and dipstick and youve got the hot setup
