Really glad you brought this back to the top. Mostly so everyone can actually see the 7.3 lower block cooling passages that are plugged in all blocks and heads
... I really feel these areas needs the plugs pulled so we can get better cooling flow thru the engines. Its my beliefs that this is why the 7.3 engine runs hotter than any 6.9 engine. Now why would ford or international do that...
Maybe to increase the coolant temps so the burn and emmissions would be better out the tail pipe....
Anyway this is still a fairly good article right up to the turbo blocks having a wider main web by 100 thousands....
I'm wondering how that can be so when all idi engines run the same width main bearings and same crank...
