Hello everyone. I started tinkering around with the Cummins the other day and I decided the Getrag on that back needs to leave. Found a buyer real quick who happens to be doing a Cummins conversion on a truck that had a 7.3idi with a 093 ATS kit that has a brand new wicked wheel in a box that needs to be installed. We're meeting this weekend and will most likely be doing a even barter. I believe I will be dropping it in a box and sending it to Conestoga to be rebuilt. Really looking forward to it! I may finally get a sweet 6.9 in the 89F350 dump before the snow flys. By this time next year I hope to have the Cummins ready to rock with a ZF6 behind it and installed in the dump and then hopefully I'll have found a sweet daily driver that I can put the 6.9 in, that one automatic. Obviously this aggressive schedule all has a big bust factor but hey, hopefully the stars will align this time!

Get er dun... Just one step at a time is how the race is run no mattter the distance. We mostly have projects that may never get dine.. but we have dreams of getting them done. I want to install me Hypermax intercooler very badly.. but have sat on starting this job for years now.. Even had 2 of them and sold one off cause if I can't install one. Why have 2 I can't install. Share it man...
Please take lots of pics. that way you have something to look back on if you forgot how things went together. With todays camera phones I see no reason every bolt can't be pictured.
When I assembled my first idi build I took pics of the bottom end.. sure glad I did because I left off that one nut on number 3 main saddle that supports the long oil pump suction line. RTV was still soft so the pan came off easy. No telling when the suction line might have broken off from vibration...

Wow...omg that would've absolutely been wretched. As far as time goes that's why I try to do these projects as fast as possible. I was in high school last year, I turned 21 last month, and now somehow I'm in my 30's. No time for dreamer projects. Get 'er done! Especially while I'm still young enough to fund money pits!

Twas a great day! I met with the gentlemen that wanted the Getrag 360 ( a member here actually, Helluva nice guy! ) to barter for a complete 093 turbo setup. He brought out his 80-86 beautiful 4x4 CCLB with a first gen Cummins in it. Just like the Cummins I have, VE pump and bone stock. Wow can that thing haul ass! Anyway, here are some pics. He also threw in a brand new Wicked Wheel, and full directions from ATS. What do you think about the down pipe? I don't see where everyone always talking about it says it's crushed. Could it have been upgraded? Thanks everyone!
