Clean the area up with degreaser / whatever you choose and then UV dye the coolant and check it on a cold night. It’s not common it’s the front plate. You’re close to a common leaking area in your circle.

Are the bolts tight?
And, water pumps can leak just like this when they start leaking.

Years ago, I read of a solution to an oil weep problem on an aero engine with a split case design (boxer engine). Oil leak was traced to the centerline split in the case, so resealing it would have involved a complete teardown. Instead, they pulled a vacuum on the crankcase of the engine and applied anaerobic sealant to the leak. Over the course of a few hours, sealant was drawn in and it apparently sealed the leak for at least a few years. Not sure if that could work for the water jacket. If nothing else, you would have to drain most of the coolant since it might try to boil off. Crank cases generally have lower pressure in them as well.

Just spitballing alternatives to pulling the front cover off.

I have actually done this vacuum trick/laziness.
Put a used engine in a nissan pickup many years ago, and it ended up having a serious oil leak at the oil pan gasket. Looked like the salvage yard the engine had come from hammered a screw driver into the pan gasket in one spot. Dont know how I didnt see that, but since the gasket was silicone, and removing the pan was a big job on that truck, I tried it. Cleaned the spot really well with brake clean, and then after a good amount of time for evaporation, I put the shop vac on the oil filler and pushed silicone in that spot with my finger.

Worked on that truck for many years after that, and it didnt leak at all.
