around 30 miles, I-40 runs threw cookville tennessee, putnam county, i live in spencer tennessee van buren county 30 miles south of cookville

Mpg has gone to crap. Averaging 13mpg, previously I was seeing 17. Any ideas?

Has your turbo boost changed any... What are your tire pressures. Remember you are feeding the turbo unfiltered oil. Thats not a really bad thing but filtered oil would be much better. When you get home maybe its time to remove the main oil galley plug that you couldn't remove before the trip. Even if you need to drill a hole thru it for an easy out it will be worth it. A magnet will be able to remove any metal from the drilling easily.

Boost hasn't changed, did tires, no fuel leaks. Would 4000 miles continuous driving retard my timingg a bit?

No... Not unless the pump slipped in the gear cover because the nuts were not tight enough... Have you changed any fuel additive...
