dad and i towed it home earlier today. had to use dads SD with the 5.4. I dont have a 5th wheel hitch and my gooseneck adapter has not arrived yet. so yes im completely posing for the picture, which is why the rear springs have no weight on them. it towed better than i expected, you really know its there though! seems to have about 1500 lbs of pin weight, the torsion axles ride really well. i have a SMF/clutch in my very near future as mine is on its way out. i want to get that done before i really start using the camper.

I think your pin weight is going to be more like 2000lbs. My 5r is smaller that yours and my unloaded pin weight is 1900. That's ok though, cause it makes the truck ride much better.

CESMITH, you are correct. i take you recognized the truck, eh?

yea it is like a mobile home, even has a washer and dryer! im not going to know what to do with all the room. growing up it was a 22 ft tag-a-long with everyone crammed together, sleeping on fold-down table beds. now everyone has their own bedrooms! i see why tipouts are so popular now, it amazing how much more room it adds. i wasnt exactly trying to buy something so big but the price was wayyyy too good to pass up. we will never outgrow that bad boy. a DT360 is already in my dreams, it might get moved up the priority list. but that will be awhile.

FOZZ, you might be right. 1500 lbs usually doesnt affect dads truck much, this settled her down pretty good. it did ride good though. gee, id hate to actually have to add airbags...

Great looking RV!

Best thing to do, is go to a CAT scale and weigh your truck. That will give you the steer and drive axle weight. Then take the whole rig and weigh them together. You'll get steer, drive axle and trailer axle weights. You'll see just how much weight the trailer is putting on the truck and how much the trailer axles are carrying.

Watch your GCVWR.. My CCLB F350 is at about max GCVWR, with our fiver hooked to it...

Nice looking trailer. What's GVWR on it? My dad's 36' Travel Supreme triple slide is 3 axle and has a GVWR of 19,900. His 97 PSD dually pulls it well.

my goal is a CC dually. like you say even a stripped down gasser is fine. i used to want a cummins but now im really liking the International DT360 everyone on here is talking about. the GVW on the camper is 10,900 lbs. ya i know im significantly overloaded right now. i believe the GCVWR for my truck is only 14,000. that seems extremely low to me though. i may be wrong. someone said on here in another post that his f350 dually was only rated for 17,000 so maybe 14,000 is right.
