so I bought a factory turbo from chris(goober) and got it in today. seems like everything I will need minus the downpipe?

only other question I have is are theses manifolds specific to this turbo or can I just use the factory manifolds?

ok well the site wont let me upload pics, I will try again tommorrow but the first question still remains.

As posted above.. All the truck exhaust manifolds are the same no matter what size engine we have. Only the drivers side exhaust manifold is differant and it wont work on a truck. It has a bigger lazy turn down at the firewall end... I really wish that one would fit our trucks. It flows more exhaust thru it...:sly

ok so i got the t3 flange gasket and a 3 in v band clamp and flanges on order tonight gonna remove the outlet, cut it back and modify it myself for the 3 in v band clamp, have the fittings for the boost port, oil in, and oil sending unit and gonna make my line and get all fittings tommorrow so I believe I will be well on my way.

kit wont go on until I get my yota here and get the head gasket replaced on it but I would like for everything to be ready.

any ideas on what to use for the boost line? I dont like that plastic tubing stuff because my gauges are on top of my dash and it would kink tryin to get there. I thought about copper tubing but that seems like it would get to be a pain pretty quick, do they make tiny braided stainless line?

I use the copper for my oil pressure gauge which is of course more critical, for air, I'd say seal it good and you'll probably never have a problem with it. You're really going to love having a turbo as hard as you work your truck sometimes, no doubt in my mind about that.

the boost line that comes with the glowshift boost gauge is a clear rubber hose. small dia of course. it is not the hard "vaccum" line stuff.

i can't comment on the quallity of the glowshift tubing since i have not installed the gauges yet.

found some 3AN braided stainless hose that I bet will be the ticket, that would mean that the hose is 3/16s od correct

on edit, justin how did you route it maybe im missing something. I dont see access to the dash without routing through the kick panel and up. I just wont drill a hole in the dash.

I mounted gauges on top of the dash so I just routed the line through the firewall, and then up to beneath where the dash is, and then drilled a hole through the dash, and put it through there.

To be honest it was a long time ago, I just remember somehow getting it up there.

basically but the 093 did not have the crushed up downpipe and I believe it might have had the 3 in outlet.

got the boost gauge figured out, got some thicker plastic line that will not kink so easy and a bunch of slip on instant fittings for the tube. bought some heat wrap, high temp silicone based paint, and clamps to wrap the pipes. flange gasket and 3 in v bands showed up yesterday, when I get to modifying stuff I will put up pics
