I like the new bid history anomity, but if I was going to bid on it, I'd want to know if I was bidding against anybody here first.

Wish Santa hadn't stopped at my place. Bids at $1028 and 3hr 33min to go, & I'm broke!
I'm looking at an '89 F350 beat-up work truck that I'm thinking about finishing my other 7.3 & dropping into.
I mounted that '97 or '99 (forgot what year) PS IC last year on my '90 and still can't get time to hook it up yet. Sure looks good sitting behind that winter dirty chrome grill though!:D

Out Bid

Oh Well I bid but lost.
I hope someone from OB got it.;Sweet
Like Mel said it is kinda screwed up that you cant see if you are bidding against someone you dont want to.
I talked to the guy selling it and asked him if he had the paperwork on the rebuild, He said he dosent know and the auction is to close to the end to look.
He also said that you could tell it was rebuilt by looking at the wheel???
If you ask me the compresor wheel looks a little hammered.
Thant why I didnt keep bidding.

Why not? Try to get in direct contact with the seller if you think its fishy. Maybe metroJD's still got his phone number since he has spoken with him.

received second chance offer on this item. not sure if i trust this offer.
if this is something you want to do on your truck, I wouldn't hesitate if I were you. The price is right on the entire kit. But, if this was a deal offered to me, I would definitely do a FTF transaction. Don't know what the driving conditions are like in Michigan at this time of the year, but the trip would definitely be worth it.

second chance offer

I recieved a second chance offer also.
I thought you could only send second chance offers out to the next lowest bid???
To be honest with you I was relieved that I was out bid.
I dont trust the guy, After what he told me and the looks of the compressor wheel.
Plus I dont need it that bad and I already paid bills with most of the $$ I had for it.
I talked to him via e mail This his his e mail.
I asked if he had the paper work on the rebuild here is his reply.

NO YOU CAN TELL BY THE TURBO WHEEL. JUST A STOCK WHEEL THE RECEPT IS PROBUBLY SOMEWHERE BUT IT ISENT WORTH THE TRUBLE AND THE AUCTION WILL BE DONE THANKS JASON

It Is a deal if you figurg what all new would be.
But...
I did the same with a hypermax system I was told all good and all there except the exhaust pipes.
The exhaust pieces through Hypermax were $300.00 plus shipping along with the price of the rebuild I could have bought new with no aggrivation.

Personally, I think the bid anonymity bit is a bad deal. aside from not being able to tell if you are bidding against someone you know, it is now impossible to tell if you are bidding against a schill bidder, and I've been in on busting a few schill bidders when people on these forums put their heads together, but now it's impossible. One more way for the ebay crooks to get away with things.

Hey Joe, I would watch the second chance offer. What you should do is go to your ebay, and send him a message securely from there. Ask him if he made the second chance offer. There a ton of second chance offers that are scams. Especially if they are too good to be true. They will also want a wire transfer like Western Union. Don't do anything if it is not through E-Bay.

Other than that, sounds like a good deal, Let us know what happens
