Facet/Carrier Transcold/Duralift fuel pump question

When you first turn the pump on , the clear bowl fills with fuel . When you start the motor , the fuel level in the bowl drops a quarter of an inch at idle . Is this normal ?

Mine is exactly the same way and it has been running great now for 2 years

I was just wondering , Genlightning messaged me earlier ..said that's how supposed to work. Hard to believe I used to drive a ****** , but never paid any attention to the fuel pump ..just put fuel in and fire it up , and of course check the temp periodically. but this pump is great , I was reading a thread yesterday on FTE, and the guy said that too high of a pressure fuel pump can throw the timing advance off in the IP. I had a Holley red , this is a major improvement. With the Holley , sometime she'd roll coal , and sometimes not. I thought that my IP was going out , but it's alive now.
