Ok, I beleive it was DesertBen44 that had some info. on where to buy this fuel pump. The best price I can find now is nearly $150.00, Any body got a better (cheaper) source?

What's the difference between the 40223 and 40222? Specs look alike.

I see one has positive shut off valve and the other doesn't, not sure what that means in practice.

I thought the difference was one had a connector and one was bare wires but maybe that's a different number. :dunno

Interesting. I'm moderately sure I have the 40222. You can see that it came with the cable end.

Says 40269 on it. Difference according to looking at the specs is that the 40223 had a connector and no positive shutoff. The 40222 has no connector but has positive shut-off. Both have check valves. Not sure what positive shutoff is in this situation if it has a check valve.

I have one with a connector. It's called a Packard connector - female on the pump - and you can use Dorman part number 85390 - male counterpart. Works great and easy to disconnect if you need to move the pump for whatever reason.
