Excessive blowby

7.3 idi has excessive blow by and cdr is working properly but not keeping up.
I read on here somewhere something about a mod to bypass the cdr. Will this mod solve my problem? Does the mod do the exact same thing as the cdr? Does the mod somehow have a way of handling more blow by than the cdr would?

Road Draft Tube. Remove the CDR. Plug the hole in the intake. Run a hose out of the valley pan where the CDR was down to the ground.

This probably wont help blowby unless that CDR is severely clogged up.

the cdr does not cause blow-by. It simply relieves the pressure in the crankcase. you need to figure out why you have blow by, and correct the problem. maybe the rings are gummed up? might try auto-rx?
