So local farmer swears by this stuff....

Anyone hear of it?

http://www.envirosave.us/

Apparently he knows the inventor and alleges it greatly reduces wear and gear box temperatures etcLOL Thinks I should add some to my new to me working ZF and my diffs when I get them redone:confused:

I'm always skeptical of things however I've seen HUGE improvements IE temp reduction running quality synthetics in axles...

He gave me a bottle to try and I'm just sooooo skeptical of stuff like this. I suppose though it's not a lot different than doing a Lubro Molly injector purge having NEVER done one before....right?

I dunno.

Just Askin.....

its probably just mineral spirits like 99% of all the additives that are sold.

I think its very similar to Conklin but I'm not sure. If you can find Conklin products they are well well worth the money.

Can't speak for the stuff because i've never heard of it before. However, and maybe i'm just being judgmental here, but that website layout/design was enough to steer me away from it.

Edit: Also as stated above, conklin products are the bees knees.

Looks a WHOLE lot like slick 50.. just another way to sell folks worthless teflon to dump in their oil.:backoff
Just run a quality synthetic like the spec calls for and you wont have anything to worry about ( there is a very good reason that ZF changed the spec to require synthetic ATF in diesel applications ) if you want something a little stouter, just go to a 30 or 50 wt synthetic atf... still in spec, a little extra oomph ;Sweet

Yes conklin products do work very well. The problem with some of this stuff is availability. It is hard to find products like this in your town stores.

I've always sworn by good SYNTHETIC...doesn't matter brand, however I primarily have experiences with Amsoil.

That being said there are other Synthetics that are good too and I would have no problem using those too!

Amsoil seems to have the biggest line of products and that's appealing to me.

One day I'll redo my license for selling, however it won't be till I'm done with horbing out this truck's engine and a few other things like sealing diffs and transmissions etc.

I'm NOT buying products or pushing products to have leak out everywhere.

On the subject of transmissions, is there NOT some kind of vent on a ZF? I'm used to having vent tubes and having to extend them up into engine compartment. My ZF had no such tube.

I would not use it. Seems like it just another version of slick50 using tfe. Toss it in the trash and then you won't have to worry about it.

X 2! I don't like any company trying to "guilt" you into using their stuff with the whole..... if you don't use this, you are irresponsible and are causing the extinction of the three eyed dung beetle of East St. Louis or some crap.
