My husband has decided to rebuild the Bronco trans. I am going to pull it and bring it home for him.

All of the thoughts and comments that that statement will bring forth aside  what is the main upgrade I should get him.

He searched this site and got the rebuild kit already, but I know there are some upgrades. The ones I am finding are piling up expense wise, but if you had to pick one.... or two....

This is a 1991 Bronco with a rebuilt 5.0L, 3" body lift, 35" street tires, and no other mods.

I will be using this for plowing, and driving around beautiful suburban NJ and our smooth as glass roads :rotflmao:rotflmao. I might get it muddy when I can, but there's no close trails, and I am too much of a wimp to get into that.

I would do pump upgrades and a decent valve body kit and line pressure boost.
It is easy to get sucked into putting all the upgrades in and they are expensive but there really is no need. An E4OD behind a gas engine just doesn't get worked very hard.
