it's hard to feel the difference when the convertor locks.
my converter was not locking, it felt mostly normal but smelled like the trans was burning after 15-20 mins on the highway

If you push the OD OFF button at 60 you will get a big change in RPM. Because its now in third gear.
That's exactly what I thought.

I don't think the TC is locking up.

Want to bet that one or more of the sensors that I asked them to check, are bad?

Although... no codes were stored when I checked today. So... Who knows.

I am working on electrical stuff right now. Got 3 projects I'd like to get done. When I am done, I'll take it back and mention that the brakes seem to be dragging, the brake light still stays on, and the TC is not locking up.

Not going to mess with those things for now, myself, because I don't want to mess up the warranty.

Only caveat to that is that I might remove the parking brake assembly and see if I can get them the slack they'll need, to get that system put back together.
