I wasn't happy with the brightness of my gauge cluster so I decided to take it apart and found alot of dust covering the reflectors. Reflectors were cleaned and I added high output LEDs and added white face templates. After all that the dash is still dim.-cuss I went back to the stock bulbs and it helped a little but still hard to see at night. I can dim the dash with the dimmer knob but it should go brghter. Has anyone had success with this problem

Thanks
V.

194 bulbs are 2cp
168 bulbs are 3cp
they are identical size-wise.
they do make a difference in brightness.

Is your dimmer switch bad?:dunno I don’t know if it’s possible to jump the switch and run full power to your cluster to see if it brightens them up?

The 168 is brighter. I also have the same issue with my dash lites. Very hard to see... Kinda dim all the time. I am running the 168 bulbs too.... No dirt on my system either.:dunno
