The 208 is most common in F150's, the 1345 was the F250HD/F350 case, but also found in broncos according to my shop manuals. I have seen a few 208's in 3/4 tons, but, never a 1345 in a 1/2 ton. Personally, every pre 1356 diesel I have touched has had a 1345, every 460 truck also. They do directly interchange, so long as the 208 is fixed rear output though.

Speaking of T/C I heard rumor that early BW1345 had chains that were 1/4" wider. Something like the 80-82 models had 1-1/4" vs the later 1" chain. Sounds like an upgrade to me (if true LOL)
