So when Ford started the "employee price" (+$3,000 cash back) on 05s a couple of weeks ago I had to look. I went to 3 dealers and saw many nice trucks. My problem was how much of a truck do I really want. I was leaning mostly towards a 2wd F250 XLT diesel automatic.
Last night I go with my wife to get her approval (on the above mentioned truck). All 05 F250/350s gone! We go to second dealer, all gone! That's about 40 trucks sold in 2 weeks! 06s are showing up but with a smaller cash back incentive. Plenty of F150s on both lots.
So we go back to the first dealer, and I find myself telling my wife that were are not driving home in a new F150 Lariat (with cow). You know your're addicted to diesel when your wife gives you the OK to drive away in a new F150 Lariat and you have to say no!
I have no intention to let go of my IDI but with about 300K on the F150 (300-6) it's time to start looking.
