not a moose pump from mel but supposedly done by the same guy that does mels, now whether that guy built it to the same specs mel has him build it to is the gamble.

ive read on here somewhere that Mels builder wont build a moose for anyone besides mel. i think i also read that is because Mel is the one that forked out the money to make moose pumps possible.

between r&d and testing I would imagine that mel has plenty of time, sweat, headaches, and money invested in moose pumps

Whoever Mel's builder is, I can't imagine he'd use those specs unless Mel authorized him to do so. Ethically it would be wrong to give someone else's specs to a non payer unless they were public and the "owner" decided to give them away. Depending on their deal, builder could even run into some legal trouble. Lets throw ethics out for a second, it would be pretty stupid economically of the builder because here he has a business partner who's sending him a stream of builds where he gets paid well, doesn't have to try to be cheap and as long as OB exists, we're on good terms with Mel, and he with us, and the gov't doesn't ban our oilburners he has guaranteed money, doing what he likes. All in all, it's a Conestoga Diesel pump, it may be a modified pump, with the general things that are done to turn up a DB2 that everyone knows about, adjust fueling and timing curves to give more useable fuel and bump up the redline, but I can't believe it's a Moose Pump.

I've seen this posted before, not sure if it was ebay or CL but the description sounds very familiar. Also, that seeller sounds just like that ********* that came cruising in here last year all high and mighty, then got into trouble cause he was sticking his nose where it don't belong (trying to go around Mel while get a Moose pump), promptly got banned, and then he went off the deep end and started slinging mud on Mel on several other sites where he promptly got banned again...

This is our old "friend" Jsnap. Liberator of the people! Defender of freedom and justice! For those of you who may not remember, yes he was the one LCAM-01XA referenced. I find it amusing that this guy doesn't mention the fact that Joel built him this pump 4 years ago, and likely by now he is selling a USED pump. And no, it is not a Moose Pump. This guy has never owned one, so he has no idea what the differences are. He just asked my builder to give him a pump that is turned up, and that's what he got. I called Joel to make sure, and he verified he's only ever made one pump for the guy.
