two things come to my mind....
one.
his back is to the wall on his mortgage and he's gotta raise cash fast.
two.
there are some very expensive repairs right around the corner.

That's a steal. If you buy it and the motor blows, you could always just pick up an IDI for a few hundred bucks, slap it in and have a great-lookin' truck.

Might be injectors or something. There was one on powerstroke nation that was a CCLB with 3 bad injectors and needed body work for like $3K.
