So I recently bought a set of early 6.9 precups to go into 7.3 heads. My concern is that the side walls on the early 6.9 cups are thinner than those on the late 6.9 and 7.3 cups. Also the notch that cup sits on in the 7.3 heads is wider while it is more shorter/narrow on the early 6.9 heads. My theory is that with the thin side walls of the 6.9 cups is that it would leave apart of the notch in the heads exposed and during the compression stroke, air would get caught under that notch and not "swirl" correctly. Would this cause any problems or not.
