Broke on the side of the road after putting in new tank

So I replaced my rear tank two days ago and are now stranded. Not getting fuel got surges of power then dead. Push the Shrader valve on the fuel filter head and heard air come out. Been trying to bleed air but I got problems. Do see and leaks and don't know where I could be sucking air. Thoughts? Need help.

I think the first thing I would do is to loosen or remove the cap on the gas tank.

Make it as easy as possible for fuel to be sucked from the tank.

If it's a hard pull from the tank, air is more likely to be introduced between the tank and the pump.

This might not help at all, but it's a free and easy thing to try...

So I limped home by pressing the Shrader valve sitting for 10min then start and go, repeated this 8 time to get back.

I would look more carefully at any fitting you touched recently. Something is definitely leaking somewhere.

Are you running just the rear tank? If you are still running the dual tanks, and both tanks do the same thing, it could be the fsv or just a simple fuel line that is sucking air in.

I filled it all the way.
Original sending unit, replaced the fuel strainer as well.

IME, the quick disconnects line to suck air. They have orings in them, but a total PITA to replace. If you aren't running the TSV, I would bypass with some rubber hose. Basically slip it over the sending unit connector and clamp it.

I am suspicious of those quick connects, I replaced them a year or two ago tho. Tomorrow im gana go over the whole thing.

Do you still have the dual fuel tank selector valve in the loop if so remove it since are using a single tank also I have had the pickup on end of sending unit in tank crack and cause a slight air intrusion issue if is questionable remove it altogether and use a piece of fuel line to replace it with a weighted end I have screwed a nut on a 3/8 fuel line and used that as a sinker to hold it to bottom of tank it works for diagnosing the issue and getting you home had this happen up in the mountains miles away from anyone / anywhere is no mans land on a old logging / fire trail and I had a similar issue kept dying out had to bleed system then good for 5 minutes or so then rebleed system and continue on those old roads 5 minutes = 1/4 mile or less so it was very slow going and it only got worse as my fuel in tank got lower so I resorted to dropping tank and applied said solution and it got me back to civilization with no more bleeding the system out.

As of right now the truck is idling smooth. Went over everything I disconnected and tightened it up. Time will tell now, fingers crossed!
Looks like I found another issue tho with my rear wheel leaking brake fluid or grease from seals. Posted that in another thread, looks like it's one of those days. And it's f##king snowing again lol.

Anyone know the part number on these o-rings? I just did my FSV and now the truck is leaking air pretty badly
