94 XLT 4x4 factory turbo, loaded, 148k garage kept, no rust, all original. Owned by a pilot and A&P ticket holder. Unfortunately, it's nearly 3000 miles away. I fly out to Colorado on the 21st to drive it back

Didn't you say that this was in/around Durango? If so, don't go north. There is a big wildfire between Durango and Silverton right now. I saw a Facebook post earlier that said that it was up to 8600 acres and only 10% contained. Other than that, have a good trip back. If you'll be taking I-70 back, give me a shout and I'll come down south and say hi. I'd like to see the truck.

There is but I think it's pretty far west of where he's getting the truck from so he should be ok.

Actually, yes we'll be selling the current 2wd '90. However, there's going to be a bit of parts swapping. I've got a fresh baby moose ip and moose mate injectors, typ4 rebuilt/upgraded 093, custom upgraded alt., airbags and a few other things. There's no way I'd recoup my money when I sell and I'm doing my best to put together a "forever truck" so I'd need them anyway. It's not like the parts that are on the new ride are junk by any account. I'll be putting together a sweet ride for the next owner...

It's actually in Pagosa Springs. The current owner is picking me up at the Durango airport. Will I be taking I-70? Don't know, haven't done any route planning, I'd really like to meet up if there's a chance. So far, I booked a flight and all I know is that I've got to hustle to Jacksonville FL and go to the tag office so they can do the inspection (look at the VIN tag) so I can register it and get a tag. Then it's back on the road to the Catskills. It's gonna be a long few days...

OK so your truck is south east of the fire. You'll be ok. Wolf Creek Pass is really pretty to drive over. I was thinking about New York and not Florida. Still, if for some reason you go north, let me know.

Just stay away from 10 through louisiana... Not very smooth in a car can't imagine in a 3/4ton truck....

You should try 81 or 84 in Pennsylvania with old shock, air bags and a 10k, 30ft. travel trailer behind youit's been a while but I've been on on 10 around there, if it were worse than PA. it'd be worse than the some of the "hi ways" around NYC
