ARP doesn't sell or list the studs for the 7.3 IDI as a kit like they do with the 6.9 IDI. But they do have a stud that works fine. PM typ4 (Russ) for a kit if you want one from an fellow OB.

I think they are around 385.00 6 pt nuts shipped, add about $200 more for 12 point nuts.

yeah thanks. yeah russ is were i plan on buying my cam and studs. this is my first diesel i have really had and messed with so im just trying to learn more about it as i go. i got the new motor all machined and ready to assemble. but i decided to do the cam and it already has a ats setup. so i was going to do the studs anyways. now just trying to figure out what i want to do with fuel system also.

Run your motor on 6 cylinders and compare that to running it on 8 cylinders... Thats the differance between a stock pump and the infamous moose pump. Once you go moose you"ll never turn loose....:sly

sounds like it is pretty impressive.so how does this setup sound.my fresh rebuild with my ats setup.cam from russ. and moose pump and injectors.should that be a pretty impressive diesel for daily driving? i would like to intercool it but i can do that later on.

Sounds pretty good to me. I've never had a chance to see a full review on the cam, so an install article and before and after dyno numbers would be a real plus.

yeah i wished i woulda had a chance to dyno the truck or something before.the motor crapped out on me before i did much with it. this core i been building i already have a good amount tied up in it. and i was just going to finish it off stock with the head bolts and turbo. but after reading on here.figured i might as well do it all the first time.and plus with tax money comeing in.maybe its a sighn to do it :)
