These are a little higher priced than "normal" for this area, but the "Cash For Clunkers" has everyone thinking that they old POS vehicles are worth more.

You just can't buy these old trucks for that around here. Anybody who has one thinks they are gold or something. Most of them that are for sale, which are very few, are highly over priced, they think they are worth at least $4,000 or $5,000, just because they are diesel.

I still can't believe the guy here that wants $12,500 just for an old 2 wheel drive f350.

Its hard to set prices. In the last 2 weeks I have had several guys approach me about buying my 89. Bear in mind I was not looking to sell it. I have not advertised it or put a sign on it. I just parked it in front of the shop and people come in and asked about it. It is just an old work truck, but I like it. I want to keep it. If someone is going to buy it they will pay my price, or I'll keep it. I shot them a price of 3800 the first guy asked me what my bottom dollar is and I said 3800. I have some cheaper two wheel drive trucks and people turn up there noses.
