I’m replacing the whole ac system on my truck, and all the parts came in today. Compressor, dryer, lines, evap core and orifice tube from rockauto, condenser from LMC.

My truck had factory AC, but the compressor and the discharge and suction line weren’t on it when I bought it.

Can I buy the manifolds for the ac compressor anywhere? I can’t find them anywhere online and as far as I can tell nobody sells a hose with them together.

Great thanks. Another question, where are the wires routed from for the compressor? The plug for mine is MIA.
I’m assuming they go over the top of the engine straight from the switch on the dryer?

Not sure I can look tomorrow
Thanks.

Looks like this should work? Yours has an extra fitting between the lines and the manifolds though, is that necessary?

So how do you connect the hoses if you don’t have the manifolds/king valves?
The king valves are what’s between the manifolds and lines on your truck. My lines look like they have an extra bend in them to go straight to the manifolds which you can see in the third pic I sent
I think the king valves are for trucks without service ports on the lines, at least from what I’m seeing

There is no difference between gasser compressors and diesel engine compressors of the same model year. Only real difference would be if you had an early york compressor (83 and older, I think) or the even rarer dealer installed setup. FS6 compressor should be standard. Even rangers and passenger cars of this era would have had it.

Any manifold from the same era of truck should still fit (and possibly from rangers and cars...not too sure about the cars), if it had the same FS6 compressor. The valves are handy because you can remove the compressor without having to discharge the system. The lines are also bent for the 90 degree angle of the valves, so trying to run without them might cause a routing issue in the engine bay. I'd try to keep it all stock. It was made that way for a reason.

The lines on rockauto all specify (most of them at least) with or without manual shut offs at the compressor. The ones I got are without manual shut offs, so I think they should work without the valves
