Thats a real nice truck you got there. Curious why you wish you'd have gotten 265's? Ive got new 265's and wish i'd gone 285 or 305.
Also- that tank in the bed? Is that your WMO collector?

Yes thats my super sucker in the bed.
The 285s are nice to tame down the 4.10s but I don't like how tight they are upfront. I've already shaved my bumper a little and still need to shave them some more. Its amazing how the roughly 1.5" difference in height over the stock tire how you can notice that as you try and jump up into the drivers seat. I'm still not 100 percent convinced I won't take these new tires off and get the same tire in the stock size. The 265 might've been a nice happy medium to get a little wider width.
Brad got it. They are the 16x8. I looked at the receipt and paid 133 each.

The truck looks great! I really like that tailgate as well, looks right at home on your rig!
As a side note, I worked at a Maaco as a "paint line technician" a few years back and the work is not hacked like so many people believe. All Maaco's are franchised stores and all stores with the exception of California or Candian locations are required to use either PPG, Dupont, or Sherwin Williams products. As someone who used to do minor body work, sanding, and masking...alot of time goes into each vehicle that comes through the doors....There are numerous "prep packages" to choose from with most people opting for the cheapest one that basically entails sanding for adhesion
Maaco is a great alternative for many people seeking an affordable paint job, but there are a few way to save yourself some money if you have the time and/or skills to do so.
1. Remove as much trim as possbile including wiper arms, antenna, door handles, lock cylinders etc....
2. CLEAN your vehicle exceptionally well!! This includes washing underneath the frame to remove dirt, mud, sand etc... (if the Maaco has to do this, you will be billed more in the end)
3. Prep it yourself! If your not worried about the little dings or dents, wetsand with 320 grit if opting for a single stage (with or without integral clear) If opting for a base/clear job, wetsand with 400 until all paint is dull. (this will knock of ALOT of money on the bill, especially for oversized trucks, remember, the basic single stage paint job is only 249.00
One thing to watch out for is to never ask for a metallic or pearl color in single stage, it just doesn't come out right.
I have had 3 vehicles painted by Maaco and couldn't be happier, you absolutely cannot beat the value for a work/play truck.
