I can do all the mechanical repairs myself.....Just not body work..... I'm not a body man and don't care to learn I hate painting lol.
I'm just picky when it comes to finding a truck and am stuck on having : an idi, reg cab 4x4, srw, 5 speed, and blue or black. Id buy a F250 but then your looking at another $1500 putting a dana 60 under it after you rebuild it... I can't seem to find a truck without any rust on it, I did find a couple in washington but all ex and crew cabs... There is a nice one in PA for $6500 with 74,000 original miles, but its a F250 non turbo... Not a big deal, but that damn thing also has rust on the fender wells.

Here's the one picture on the craigslist ad

How long ago was this pic taken do you know?

unless the guy did a bunch of work to the truck that is not even the same truck as in your other pics. your fist pics have cab clearance lights, second pic, no lights, different wheels tires(easily changeable), has the trim running down the side of the body, first pics don't have that. the second truck sits nose down, first truck sits nice and level. different mirrors. i can't get a clear view of the badge on the second truck but i would said that is a f-250 due to the stance of the truck.

i personally wouldn't pay more than $2k for it. that rust on the bed is pretty bad, the frame is quite rusty. i don't think you could tow anything with it based on the exhaust. to me it looks like it has a straight junk of pipe over the axle:dunno. i could be wrong though.

is it just a reflection or is that a huge rust hole in the front bumper right at the corner?

any idea what the puddle of "liquid" is on the mat underneath the front tank area of the truck is?

another thing but i don't really know why people put brand new tires on a truck and then sell it right away. i understand that other things come up forcing a sale but...... i know that those tires on that are NOT CHEAP and to just put brand new tires on the truck and then sell it right away would worry me a bit.

i agree the interior is in pretty good shape, but if that is an 8/10, then mine has got to be about a 15/10.

i know you have been looking for a year+ but i would continue to look.[/

I'll try and go thru here and answer your questions cause I agree with 90% of them.... The exhaust is 4" stainless and although it does look straight over the axle its not, its properly bent. I think its a flowmaster or magnaflow pipe, Yes the front bumper is completely shot on both sides, it would need a brand new one, the liquid on that mat is the front tank leaking, I also think $4500 is to much I'm just soooooo tired of looking.... Any free moment I have I catch myself looking for a 93 or 94 F350 on every state of craigslist... I have $5000 in cash saved , 2-3 week I'll have $7000 with this current job I'm on working 6-10's.... I have no problem what so ever paying 7-9 k for a nice rust free truck that is perfect in every way but I just can't find one.... I also have a picture of the engine if you want to see it.... But trust me its definatly an un touched turbo idi

this seller of full of BS man. the second truck even has a different front bumper than the first truck from what i can tell. there doesn't look to be any cut-outs in the bumper of the second truck.

Re read his post, It is not the same truck It is the F250 from the PA Craigslist Ad I believe.

I would do it. I know that you asked if it is worth $4,500.00. To many people it is not. To me it would be.

Folks overlook the smile that the right truck will put on a mans face. The change in your countenance that comes about by being in the truck you want has to be worth something.

Go and check it out with the intention of bringing it home. If it is mis-represented, keep looking.

Dude it's your money. I'd offer starting at 3250 to try and get a deal but would easily go up to 4500. It's got some rust but looks pretty clean and doesn't appear beat. Now for that kind of money it better start good and drive really well. Any issues with how It drives or runs and I would start lower. It's easy to say the truck isn't worth the money but lets break it down. Core engine is worth 400. Dana 60 and all brackets is worth 1000. Turbo is worth 500. Transmission is worth 400. Tires and rims are worth 600 easy. I came up with a quick 2900 doing low ball prices. Then scrap the shell for another few hundred bucks. So in my mind if the body rust is the only issue and it's the exact truck you've been wanting go for it. Good luck!
