New to this forum but not new to forums so i know the drill, ive went through the faq's and searched around about my dilemma. Ive learned some stuff, cavitation and how to tell when you need certain new parts like injectors ip etc. I am trying to figure out where to start on this problem. I know i need to do a compressiong test, as it has 209k on the clock. Its a factory turbo engine, i just replaced a leaking line, the glow plugs and injectors are supposedly new. I might try and put a new install kit in just incase somethings clogged. Nowhere rents a comp tester, and theyre spendy im on a budget here kinda so. Anyway basically it starts up first try, runs kinda rough and smokes out unburnt fuel but white, i changed the oil right when i got it a few weeks ago. No coolant loss, its not trying to overflow or do any sign of cavitation. Filter could be changed out, trying to figure my best option and then order one. It runs clean once warmed up, especially when on the throttle. when you let off you can see a haze of white or blue smoke, especially going downhills off the throttle. Its not leaking oil or burning any as of yet, but ive only gone through like 1.5 tanks of fuel. i put some lucas oil injector cleaner into one tank so far, its a bit more responsive but hasnt really changed the smoke. hoping its not rings that went bad, any help would be appreciated. thanks jesse
