Black and sometimes white smoke

Got the truck 2 months ago and guy i got it from turned pump up a lil bit.

And it would always roal a little coal on acceleration.(not worried about)
it always has a puff of white smoke on start up (not worried about either)

BUT lately when I get on it sometimes it blows a plum white smoke but most of the time its black
Why is it blowing white smoke when driving it hard sometimes?
I do know that it has a leaky fuel filter but it is usually only a drip.

Blue or White smoke?

How is the coolant level? Any coolant mysteriously disappearing?

Have you (or hired someone to) check the injection pump timing?
