87 F350 4wd KP D-60, front diff

this front end never gave me any issues, besides a minor steering glitch.

im about to pull it and clean and paint, change fluid, hubs, and diff cover.

question is... how far do i go?

she drives straight, and front u-joints were changed last year....


completely new brakes were done at the same time frame.

Clean 'er up an shoot with some paint. Nothing wrong, no problem.

Axle seals for sure. If bearings and races look good leave 'em as is. Clean and paint. Outer bits are accessible to do any time.

Inner seals....then never a worry...kp kit if u feel needed.....at least break kp down inzpect amd deside.....

Defiantly inner axle seals. Every one I have rebuilt after getting started leaking inner seals after a month or two. A lot easier to do out of the truck. Cheap parts but pain to replace since steering and carrier have to come off

I think I'm going to give this a try on my truck...I'm not an expert on steering or suspension setups, but from the description, it seems pretty solid and will hopefully firm up the steering, and you can still get parts for it at McParts if you're stuck out in the middle of nowhere

this looks like a solid plan, but ill do that later.
my steering is new as well, to save a bit of cash for now, ill grab that stuff later! its a exterior bolt on anywho!

ill order some seals and get on it!

I wonder if the same can be done here?
