the top isnt anything to write home about, the pictures show it alot of justice.
but you cant see it when youre 4 feet tall, im no midget, but just sayin LOL

Its like anything else you build yourself, all you see is the flaws cause you know every inch of it.

Fortunately to everyone else it looks factory! Thats a really awesome truck you are building there!

What paint did you use on the bumper, and did you do anything special with it?

Truck looks GOOD!!! ;Sweet

its some acrylic enamel.
same stuff i did the black on the body lines.
i had it, and threw it on because the POR-15 i had, turned out to be gray.
so i got a gallon of gray, and nothing to use it on..lol

i eventually want to get it powder coated, but cant afford it right now....

Makes sense...I got my hands on a winch bumper that needs some love, and I'm trying to figure out whether powder-coating or painting it with bedliner would be better from a paint durability standpoint.

The diy kits aren't very good.
Now if you take it in to line-x or similar, that's a different story. Lifetime warranty.

What I don't like, is paint matching to the truck.

new glow plugs, clutch master/slave coming this week.
new windsheild being installed on thursday.
still a few things to finish up in the cab.
after the clutch n stuff are installed i can put the seat in.
i still need to replace the bearings in the rear diff, but thats gonna have to wait till payday.
i havnt decided if im gonna paint the bed yet.
i will be doing another, but i may just do some work on the bed to get it to look ok for now.
still gotta install another battery.
then its a matter of installing the transfer, shafts, checking fluids, and she should be a runner.
im shooting for it to be done on monday!
