80's Factory/Dealer Installed Grill Guard?

Hey guys,
My grandpa had a cattle guard installed on his 83 after he bought it, and for years we didnt know where he got it from. Well we've been looking for atleast another one if not two since we wrecked that truck. Found one the other day in town and asked the guy if he wanted to sell it and he said it was a dealer installed item?
Does anyone else know if this is true?
Is this guard a dealer installed item?

A lot of different aftermarket dressup parts were available from the dealerships back then. Unfortunately they were chosen by the idividual dealership, and not furnished by Ford.

Agreed, it's likely an aftermarket part sold and installed by the dealer. Probably not still produced because of the age of that body style.
