ok my truck is a 79 f150 with leaf spring all around ext cab 1/2 ton axles 4x4 351m and a c6 in west virginia

You will need at least F-250 springs for the front. And I would use Dana 60's (front and rear). I don't think that Dana 44 is going to hold the weight that well. I would set it up for a Heavy F-250 suspension. JMHO.

if it can handle a 351M/400 :puke: it should be able to handle a 7.3 with no problem.

Not really! If it was a true F-150 (with F-150 suspension under it), I think it would be to much for it. Trust me. I dumped one in a F-250 (from a 460) and it squats the front end down on it. But since he has the 250 suspension under it, It sould work out fine!

thats what im screamin i just gotta figure out how to make it fit

I can tell ya how but all you had to do is ask! Does the truck have A/C? Does it have power steering??? Do you plan on using a Turbo on it in the future??? Do you have a welder, chop saw & a Sawzall???? Are you willing to do some fab work??? Need to know these things.......

Most likely someone did a cab swap. ALL 73 - 79 F100's and F150's had coil springs up front whether 2 or 4wd.

Or else someone converted to front leafs but that's a lot of work for a negligible benefit.

Are the wheels 5 or 8 lug?

Maybe a couple pics would help us figure out exactly what you are dealing with......
