I have a customers 97 PSD and he said it has been low on power lately. the truck has under 100k miles and has a tow tune in it currently, also has a full banks exhaust. it does not have a boost gauge so im not sure what kind of boost its making. it starts up great and runs smooth just with half the power. my scanner has two codes listed, p0344-cam position circuit intermittent, p0470-exhaust pressure sensor fault. I did drive it and its a struggle to get to 50mph. I don't have the truck with me at this time but he will be bringing it back so I can do some more diagnosing to it.

any thoughts are appreciated, thanks.

he has been driving the truck for a few weeks now and he said it was running great and had plenty of power, then he drove it one day and it had no power. I have replaced the passenger side exhaust manifold and resealed the up pipe. I cant hear an exhaust leak but it sounds like there might be wind sound like a boost leak when your on the throttle but its hard to tell.

A wind like sound might be leaking intake boots. I think you are looking on the wrong side, try the intake side. :)

is there any way to test the ebpv or keep it open to try and eliminate that as being a problem? I could do a video but its just kind of a pain to post one on here. what is the best way to get a video on here?

so I got the truck back to do some work on it and the first thing I went at was the ebpv. I noticed when I started it this morning it kind of sounded like a 6.0 from the exhaust side. the ebpv was stuck about half way closed so I used some pliers to put it in the open direction and un plugged the two wires that go to the valve. I took it for a test drive and it was back to normal.

the next problem is the wind shield wipers work on hi and low but if you select a medium speed they wipe once and that's it. any ides on what it would be? I am more familiar with the brick nose then the obs trucks.

In my experiences, that's the wiper switch. I've taken them apart and cleaned them up.
I guess it could be in the motor itself also.
