I was thinking about putting a 38 gal tank in the back where the spare tire usually is. The tanks I keep finding for my 86 f250 keep saying gas only. So what's the difference in the tanks? Can I use a tank that's for gas in a diesel application?

I put this sender in this tank on my F350 a few months ago.

It works just fine. 500 miles easy (when not towing) out of that tank before having to switch to the front.

The tank comes with hanger bolts and parts to mod your sending unit. My old unit was *****, so I just modified the new one.

I worked as well as the stock tank did with my TransferFlow filler neck too. ;Sweet

Some one on here was looking for a large tank with a sump in it so they could get the last drop out of it. Maybe he'll see this one.

My 94 rear is poly, front is steel.
Still only the smaller 20 or so gallon units.
The SD Era used the 40 gal from F250-F550 including C&C trucks.
I would like to know what tank you're talking about though. Lol
