Anybody got 285/75/16 tires on their dually and did you have to use spacers on the rear. Also post some pics if you got them.

Hello Bigmike

I did a lot of research before I went with 255/85/16's, so hopefully some of this information will help you out.

255/85/16's have a diameter of 33.02, and a cross section of 9.87
285/75/16's have a diameter of 32.08, and a cross section of 11.30

I went with a 1.25 inch spacer in order to maintain the stock distance between the tires. For the 285's you would need a 2.00 inch spacer to do the same.

Hope that helps.

hey Mike
285 are doable
but as silverback said you will need at least a 2" spacer
I'm runnin 285's as of now w/ a 2.5" spacer
I did this thinking that one day I might go to a 305
just know this 285's will stick out past your flairs
& you will be running over the 102" wide mark
w/ that said I love them

ps they also make it a lot easier to
add that rub swirl to that car/suv next to you

heheeeee

Wher did you get the spacers and how much did they cost. I would still like to see some pics if you know where any are.
