That would be a cool area also. We definitely have years worth of places that we could host rallies out here in the west

Missy and I were looking at Gatlinburg, TN. Lots campgrounds there. We could camp for two weeks and still have new stuff to try.

I can't imagine you'll be getting too many votes for this area........Not!:D

Great idea. I second Hot Springs as a destination. Great KOA campground there. Lots to do for families (parks, downtown, steam), centrally located, and a bit cooler since its in the mountains.

Not a bad place to hang out at all.:)

I have never been to a rally because we had to cancel this year.

The hot springs KOA is pretty nice. There are also a couple nice good sams parks too. Off road park is there for those that are 4wd.

It's one of our favorite places to camp! I would be willing to help out any potential host here!!

Well, its official, Mike (laserjock) and I are throwing our hats in for the Shenandoah Valley area in Virginia. Google this zip code for a general area 22835.

We have scouted several campgrounds, ruled out a few, and moved a few to the potential list.

We are thinking the week of July15th through July 21st would be the most practical for the places we are looking at. We would name two desired group events that are close by, to possibly include the Luray caverns, Bear Mountain zip lines, or even a trip to historic downtown Winchester.

There are many other activities to do in this area that are a bit of a drive, but he and I would be willing to lead the way to these other places if folks are interested in the trip. Things like the casino and horse races at Charlestown, the Air and Space museum, or even the Green Bank Observatory telescope, or many other attractions.

There are beautiful mountain roads to take a motorcycle ride on in the area, whether on the way to one of the attractions, or just a short cruise around.

I have attended 4 rallies, and Mike has attended 1. We thought it would be smart to team up since we live sort of close to each other, and could more or less just combine experience and forces.

Looking forward to it if it works out.

Last day, I will close this late tonight or first thing in the morning. Tomorrow evening, when I get home from work, I will post a new thread with the descriptions from this thread with a pole for voting.

I have my info in post #6. I would like to keep both RI and NH together and do a final rule out for the spot on another pole if we or I get that far.

wherever the spot I will have the truck and bikes on the back.

Cool! I don't have pics of Shenandoah National Park yet.I got rained out!I'll get some this winter on the way out I'm sure though.

Luray caverns and the natural bridge! Been to both, years and years ago but no pics either.

Oh you guys will be getting a lot of votes for this area too! Holy crap what a load of good options! Happy voting guys.Good luck.Going to be tough choices! At least it's going to be a win/win/win/win no matter where the votes take ya lol.
