My Flex plate has broke. It galled the mating surface of the thick spacer between the end of the crank and the torque converter. I am looking for a replacement part. Can file on mine but would prefer using a better one.

I am confused (not unusual these days). If I counted correctly, I have ten bolts to hold my flex plate onto the crankshaft. All the flexplates that I am seeing listed for a 93 NA IDI have nine. The flexplate I got from Rock Auto has nine. Did I get the incorrect flexplate or did I miscount my bolts.

You must have miscounted your bolts. IDIs have nine while the PSDs have ten. There is ten holes in some of the IDI flywheels/flexplates. Some of the earlier 6.9s had a small dowel in the crankshaft in the circle of flywheel bolts.

I am pretty sure I have a flexplate and the spacer for the E4OD that I pulled from my parts truck. If I have the spacer its yours if you want it, just pay shipping.

The idi is loosely based on the IHC 266,394,345 and 392. Those also have only 9 bolts with an empty spot
