Hello guys,

I'm gonna do a front shackle reversal on my 1990 f350 4x4. I see that Sky Manufacturing http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=FORD-FSR-003 , Ruff stuff http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/UNFLIP.html , I think tuff country and even this ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Front-...ng-Conversion-Sky-Manufacturing-/321554193133 all build kits.

Can anybody that has done a reversal or has used one of these give some input?

I've "heard" that you can use your stock springs. You need to use super duty springs only....etc. Nobody around me has done anything like this so I'm reaching out.

I'm not going for the lift, more so for the ride. I seem to be hitting the bump stops while driving. I have pro-comp shocks on it now, few years old. Mostly used for tow rig.

Thanks for your help.

Yeah to a degree. I have a single jack and a Vise! ;-) I have buddies that are welders. I work in a plumbing shop. so there are a fair amount of tools to access. I don't want to throw money out the window , but for me time is money. I don't really have a spot to take the truck, remove the components and then spend a week making the parts. I really have a two day window to make the swap. I don't have a problem with small problems that come along. Nothing is plug and play these days.

Thank you,
MG

I'd suggest keeping it stock then...

Need TIME and Place and Skills, and the tools and $$$ to pool together in one big vortex of luck to make it happen

The 90 front frame horns are much different than OBS. Look close at them you'll see why the kit is easy for one not the other.

Not saying this cannot be done, but boy you better have every I dotted and T crossed before you begin!

I realize that the 92 + has box frame rails and my year has the C-channel rail. I was going to have a plate welded up on the frame to duplicate the 92 style. This I can fab up and right before the swap out have it welded in. My original thoughts is there any Negs to doing this swap? Other then time and money.
