Originally the front and rear light bars were on the roof.
I don't want anything higher then the roof line

1. Welded up some custom tube to mount the rear light bar. Drilled and fitted. Front light bar is measured drilled and fitted and being moved to the cowl.

2. Paint prepped.

3. Primer sprayed.

Painted and cleared.

Since this is put together from 5 trucks, 1 ambulance and a bunch of welding I've been calling this the pennsyltucky ford build. Not to mention the fact that the quarter bottom of the cab that I cut off and welded in new you can see where that took place haha.

It's cool though that's how we build and piece together everything around here, and it's all strong.

Looking great. If I had to do it again I would have tacked some hangers on the bottom to run wires. Mainly the reverse switch wire that rests on the front drive shaft. Now I have to work under the truck again to reroute. Looking forward to seeing this all buttoned up!

Do you think there's enough fender room for bigger tires?

Looks like you're really limited on your tire size there. Probably too big now. For the door seal, I saw someone on here recommend putting the seam on the front vertical section between the hinges. When I took off the old ones, the metal beneath the seam was all gone and I needed to add in a good 6" section. Food for thought.

Also, while you have easy access to the cowl, I found mine was leaking between the cowl and firewall where it mounts so my seal, as terrible as it was, was not the reason water was getting onto my intake. It was also coming in just above the booster and rusting out the steering wheel column plate.

Good tips x2.
That was in an progress shot on the weather stripping. It's actually up by the hinges.
I had to take it on and off a number of times adjusting the trim.

Ive heard that second issue and looked up there from the inside and it actually looks like one of the few parts of the truck that never leaked/rusted.

Nice! I used a whole tube of silicone everywhere I could. Really disheartening after you fix the interior, install new door seals and then look in one day to find a puddle. But we just had pretty good rain last week and she's dry as a clam.

My plan is to get it all together and running and drive it for a bit with just the front seat in and no interior to find and adjustments that might need to be made.

Good thinking. That noico insulation quieted it right up. Like a different truck. Can't wait to paint mine though, bet you're itching to drive it around.

Even though the script is wrong for my 1985, I'd be proud to run those on my truck.

I was just talking with Scotty4 the other day about wishing someone made them in the older script. I'm tempted to buy them just to cut the bottom part off and use it on mine under the original emblems.
