makes me sick, i sold my 86 4x4 for 1200 it had a pretty good dent in the bed and the paint wasnt so good but it had just hit 100,000 miles and the people i bought it from even had all the service records, i wish now i hadnt sold it, o well. at least i still get to ride in it from time to time

If it's been in that garage most of its life, that's a good deal. Stuff down there doesn't rust much even if it didn't.

You can get a 92+ with the more comfy interior for about the same money. 'Course the 81-86 body is My personal favorite.

I gave 2600 for mine and it's a Lariat. It did need work but I drove it home from Phoenix then a year after that before doing the powertrain swaps turbo etc. I've got about 4-5 in it now along with some serious sweat and blood but its pretty much done mechanically. I've got some pics in the gallery if your looking for a comparison.

I bought my first one new in '91....after driving that rough riding,wallowing,rusting,tail light blowing,air conditioner eating,heater core leaking,transmission trashing POS 178,*** miles I did a non funded gov't study....and after a couple of rum and cokes that's what I came up with....putting that marvel of simplistic engineering in a POS Dodge was akin to sticking a 10kt diamond in a fresh meadow muffin.

Course',I'm a slow learner and I got mad at Ford($850 for a PSOM) and bought another new Dodge 3500 4x4 in '97 and tried my luck again.....that one was even junkier....two trannys,a/c leaking constantly,junk electric window motors etc etc....all in less than 100,*** miles..TOTAL JUNK.

That's when I decided that I would own cummins engines again,but not in a Dodge...I don't even want one on my property.

BTW....it didn't take me long to decide I wasn't really that mad at Ford after all.
