OK, here's my deal. I currently have a 1991 F350 SRW. The drum brakes are shot. I bought a 1999 F350 cab and chassis for a parts truck and both have 4:10 limited slip axles. I really want to swap in the 10.5 to get rear discs with an E brake. I know the spring perches will need to be moved, that's a minor concern.

The biggest challenge seems to be the axle flange spacing, about 71" on the C&C, 67" on the SRW. I'm thinking 2.5" spacers that convert your pattern from 8 on 170 to 8 on 6.5. Anybody have the actual flange to flange spacing on either axle? I'm only estimating. I'm thinking about taking the C&C spring pack as well, they look beefy! Any input is appreciated.

Doesn't factory duallies use spacers on the front? They seem to be reliable.......

Lol so did chevy for a very long time.
So you're wanting to just use it as a SRW right?

Found these on the net. Supposed to be for the 10.25
SRW 65.5'' wms-wms
C&C DRW 65.5'' wms-wms
DRW 72.5'' wms-wms

So the new axle would mount the wheels out wider? Seems like a winner to me. The factory tucks the rear wheels under there pretty good. A good set of adapters will cost you a couple bucks. And put the wheels out even further. Not sure I'd want the added width from the adapters or even want adapters.

I would probably try to find wheels for the rest similar to the front and run mismatched patterns.

Here is an 03 Factory 16" rim on a SRW Excursion..... maybe this will help a bit.....

Looking down from above, sorry about it being sideways:

Looking from the rear with the center cap removed, the camera is placed against the sidewall so you can get an idea of positioning:

05+, the rims is almost "flat" against the outside of the rim..... much like the rims on the Crown Vic's....
