Can you swap a 6.9 v10 for a 7.3 idi without changing the bell housing?

I'm guessing 6.9 was a typo for 6.8 v10. sounds to me like the op wants to swap a triton v10 out for a 7.3 idiAh well that answers that. Still would be curious as to what engine the op is dealing with
One of the really cool things about the IDIT(or OBS IDI) is that the harness is basically self-contained - Literally just apply battery power to the main glow plug terminal, and switched power to the glow plug relay's small "ignition" terminal... and the engine will run! The glow plug relay, the high idle, advance etc... are all connected and work perfectly as soon as you power that primary lead. The IDI and PSD had the same bolt pattern. The IDI would be the easier swap for sure. Less wiring to redo.

if the V-10 is running the BBF pattern could it be drilled out like the ZF-5 type4 mod and made to work?
