like the willwood style, the cable is on the caliper.

the rear disc is kinda pricy
but i went ahead and purchased it.
with the e-brake calipers.
also picked up some aluminum finned diff covers.
gonna powder coat them and polish up the fins!

I picked one up for the rear. I was thinking about painting it and then polishing the fins or at least removing the paint. Did you get the ford superduty rear? Where did you get the front? I'd like to have something nicer up there but I may end up just nickel plating mine.

Also Comes With Bolts and fill plug.
This is a very thick cover will as strength to the rear end housing.

It looks right in the picture. I didn't count the holes though. The shape is pretty similar in pictures to the sterling. The big difference aside from size is profile. That's the easier way to tell from a picture what it is. With that listing I don't think they have a leg to stand on regardless.
I wonder why they could not just put the whole axle in the truck. Is the van track width that far off?

You could, but you'd be downgrading axle ratings from a 10.25 to a Dana 60. Also work including perches, driveshaft etc? maybe Gear ratios as well I'd guess.. Are there many 4.10 vans?
Spring perches are easy to do. I have done them several times. My truck is sporting 3.55 so finding my gear ratio would probably not be hard. I know that is not the case for everyone.
Still I would think re doing a drive shaft would be easier than all that machine work. That is assuming you would have to. Then you would still have a factory axle without remembering about custom parts.
I know the 10.25 is stronger but I would not shy away from a dana 60.

and when you think about the disc brake calipers, lines, and hardware,
its just easier to buy a kit.
i bolt it on, no researching, making up drawings, cutting brackets, scowering junkyards......
im completely for DIY, as you can see...
but this is one thing i do not wish to spend time on lol
