well i have the same problem everyone else has, I can't find the cdr to metal tube rubber adapter for an ats turbo with cdr mounted on valve cover. This was an international set up. the part guy showed me pictures of an IH setup that was the same. International discontinued it. This is why we can't get them. Ford used it also i think. My friend machined this beauty today to replace it. I ordered a cdr and the valve cover grommet from international. When i get them and if they are correct i will post part numbers.

Well lets not get ahead of ourselves. Im going to install it tomorrow if the parts from IH get in. We had a 12'' snow here so they may be delayed. Ill let you know how it worked. As far as price I will have to talk to the guy who made it.

Thats way cleaner than the modified copper pipe reducer I hammered into shape for mine. Sign me up!

Mine has worked flawlessly and leak free for a few years now, but billet and o-rings is just so much cooler!

Damn...another OB member solving a small dilemma for us.

Is there an internal O ring in that too where the stem of the pedestal fits in? Maybe an idea to add one and use a good HI temp VITON rings for it BTW,

Ya I'd say if that works..it's a product that will sell to several members here. Heck I may even want one too!

In reference to the first picture I think I bought the last one available in the nation as far as I know. Found a Ford dealer with it in old stock. Ford Parts Giant an online parts outfit found it for me. I tried to get one from them, but of coarse it was unavailable. They volunteered to search for one though and gave me the contact info of the dealer that still had one. I was very impressed how helpful they were being a big online parts supplier. This is defiantly a worthwhile part to reengineer. I think I spent days trying to find one.

Odd, on my ATS the CDR is mounted to the air box with a hose going from it to the valve cover.

This isn't the grommet for the VALLEY PAN where the CDR was and was subsequently replaced with an ATS 093 TURBO be it aftermarket of Factory Ford!

They utilize an OIL drain pedestal that sets down into the grommet in the valley pan where the NA CDR was located. This 093 valley pan Grommet has long since been gone, and this new improved one could be the end all be all for those with the 093 ATS kits!

The 085 and 088 ATS kits don't use the special grommet for the valley pan, they use a stock NA CDR grommet cut down to fit the pedestal.

Location of the CDR on the Turbo engines is not what this is about, it's about the sealing of the oil pedestal for the turbo.

Hope that clears up the issue for you.

Thanks, but no, not really, the OP says

:dunno

But I guess it doesn't really matter, thanks anyway.

:D

I could have misinterpretted what he meant however his description is the FACTORY or 093 ATS turbo setup and thus I believed he meant that type of ATS turbo but the grommet for the valley pan it's self I could be wrong:confused:...wait on OP to speak up

Now I'm wondering if I was thinking the right part :rotflmao wouldn't be first time I was incorrectly thinking one thing when a person meant another:D just ask Super:eek:

Yes it is the cdr to metal tube hose or adapter that this part replaced. See new thread I started with pics of it installed .
