I went to my Ford dealer in Live Oak, Florida and ordered 16 Motorcraft BERU glow plugs. In two days they called to tell me my glow plugs were there. Today I pick them up and they charged me $12 each. Did I pay too much?

I got my Motorcraft oil filters there for $9 each. Much better than the $13 NAPA charges.

Most members will tell you that online they are around $10.00 each so... Maybe you paid about tht the online price is with shipping.... Thats a good price on the filter if its a psd 1995 filter...

Burt that's what the local Motorcraft parts house in Gainesville wants. If you can get them for 12 bucks at the dealer consider yourself blessed. Most dealers soak you for 20-25 on them, but some are reasonable. Good going.

THat's about a fifth of what my local ford dealer charges for the things last time I checked ( three guesses why I don't buy anything there)

I don't know if it's a psd 1995 filter. I asked for the oil filter for my '86 and they gave me one with the number FL-784. The guy that helped me had to get the glow plugs from 5 or 6 different dealers to complete the amount.

Burt the PSD filter is FL1995 and abut twice as long as the FL-784 you have. I have no idea if the extra size is an issue in a van never having worked on one.

Decent price, not the .99cents of 2007.... but $9.97 is what I paid at Checker (Schucks, Kragen)

The FL1995 fits very nicely in a van. The one thing you have to do though before installing in a van or the F series is to get a permanent black marker and cross out the cuss word "Powerstroke". Otherwise you have a hard time getting it installed. Usually the FL1995 goes for about 10 at Wally World
