is the screen removeable to clean/ how is it cleaned. i am assuming the screen will filter well enough to keep the pump alive for a good long while.

You just unscrew the bowl to remove the filter and clean it, very simple.

let me know when i can get one. this will definately be easier that what i was scheming. how are those of you mounting it on the frame. fabbing any brackets, etc.....

ok, i just read through all this thread and it seems these pumps are the way to go. but i havent seen anyone say how well they do with wmo or tranny fluid, and if someone did run wmo through one of these pumps would it be better on the frame or under the hood? if it will work with wmo i would buy one. just let me know please cause im starting to get my diesel ready for this year, i have a lot of out of state towing to do.

Most everyone is mounting these in the engine compartment. But with any electric pump they work better pushing that pulling so Im torn on where Im going to mount mine.
I know one member was running an 80-20 (80% WMO) mix of WMO in one of these and it quit working on him, not to harp on him, but 80-20 is too thick IMO to run through a single pump and expect it to last very long. These are definitely the best pump I've ever researched.

I have worked on many helicopters that have this pump enclosed and not enclosed and they are almost perfect thats my 2 cn

There have been a couple of failures only when running high levels of wmo (trans fluid may not affect it at all) and having the pump up in the engine compartment. Not sure which was more responsible, or if either was. I may be moving mine down to the frame as a CYA. Plus I won't be running more than 50% at the most.

Pump came today. I am going to try to put it down on the frame to avoid some of the wvo failure mentioned in another thread. It sure looks like a good pump.
