I made a bracket for the battery charger. I used my super cheap plasma cutter I got from Amazon.

It is my first time ever using one. It is too cool. So I bent it how wanted it and painted it

Got it mounted solid and installed the onboard charger

I was a little sloppy with the cut and bend but it mostly doesn't show.

That’s pretty nice. I feel bad. I’m a fabricator and all I did was zip tie my charger to core support.

Nice, did you mock up with cardboard or have something to template?

Swung by oreilys and picked up two new glow plugs. $17.99 each, and they're genuine. Kind of surprised they had real ones.

right on. Think I had good luck with Oreilly GPs too but weird to never be sure

This morning, before I left to drive to my garage, I FINALLY turned down the regulator for my Holley blue. It's one of those things that had been bothering me, but I wouldn't remember until I was driving down the road and looking at the fuel pressure gauge. It's now set so there's about 8PSI while I'm cycling the glow plugs and 7 PSI while the engine's idling. It stayed between 6.5 and about 7.75 PSI during the drive over and back. I was wanting 5-6 PSI, but the engine is A LOT less rattley. It also felt like there was plenty of power so I'm not even going to bother checking the timing or advancing the IP. At least for now. Sometime this month, I'm planning to help a friend cut down some trees around a couple of houses that he wants to start renting out. I'm going to pull my pickup box trailer just in case I get all worked up about bringing home more firewood. That will test out the power either way.

New headlight housings, relays and led bulbs. Found out the housing mount clips aren’t too bad if you just pull the piece they’re mounted to

To follow up, looks like the tips just melted versus breaking off, started up super easy after one glow cycle, and it was about 38F out at the time. Mild smoke, cleared out quickly. Probably the easiest it's started in a long while.

Found more plugs are fakes. Gonna have to replace them when finances allow... Guess its time to do side gigs.

I finally got around to changing the fuel system a bit. Installed a relay off a key activated wire and got it all plumbed up. Only thing left is to pull the fuel line off the original lift pump and put a new piece of line in its place. Would like to remove and cap it off but on the vans it is a ****** to get at. Eventually will remove the factory fuel filter as the location is insane and you need to pull the doghouse and remove the air filter completely to get at it.

Gotta' love OEM quality. I tested my 35 year old vac pump today and at idle it still pulls 25 inches of vacuum(knocks on wood vigorously). Unfortunately this means my firm brake pedal is likely due to the booster.
