trucks been driving great, recent rear brake job has the brakes feeling amazing - and no dash lights.

Got tired of the air leaking out of the braided lines I put on in order to use my TPMS system. Pulled the rear wheels off to attach them directly to the stems and hope they don't need air.....When I pulled the drivers side inner rim off, the drum was loose. So I pulled it right off and checked the brakes. Drivers side was out of adjustment, so I spun the cog till the drum just fit on. Went to the other side and pulled the drum, holy crap! There was a spring stuck in several places as it was broken up. I could not find where it went in that brake? Pulled out the pieces and adjusted that side up. I have the best brakes I have had in almost a year of driving it. Cylinders show a little weeping so will plan to replace. Air holding spot on also.

That got ugly right off the bat…

At least I got my fuel cooler mounted. I’ll run off the rear tank until I get a new sending unit for the front, and then use the clean ‘94 tank shown on the left in the last picture.

Anyone have recommendations on the best place to get an 87-91 front tank sending unit? 19 gallon metal tank.

Well the post I made with pictures says awaiting moderator approval. Anyways my front fuel tank is full of rust and the sending unit is disintegrating. So I ordered new front and rear sending units from Gas Tank Depot. When my front arrives then I’ll tear apart the rear tank even though it currently doesn’t need it. Just gonna run the rear tank for now. I have a good front tank from a 94 that I will use.

Got my fuel cooler installed too.

What does the fuel cooler look like and where is it mounted?
It’s not a factory part. But any small 3/8 diameter tube transmission cooler should work. I do not have a stock bumper (Ranch Hand Legend series) so the way I have my fuel cooler mounted isn’t an option for most people.

There is a thread on here called fuel temp, more info about the why in that thread.

I mounted it to the very back of my ranch hand on the bottom side, right in front of the bottom of my intercooler, which is obviously not a factory part. Modified here.

I'm almost ashamed to admit that I drove my truck the entire two blocks to work this morning instead of walking. The "almost" part comes in because it was dark and we were having a thundershower at that exact time. There was quite a bit of lightning just south of town so I felt justified.

Despite the weather, if that was all I had to drive to get to work, I would still probably drive

I thought about it. I decided that if it's -20* it would take me longer to get the truck started than it takes me to walk to work. At those temperatures, then walk time is significantly shorter. To be honest, most of the time, I just don't see it being worth the hassle to drive.

He's probably 2 1/2 hours or so, to throw out numbers.
2 hours, but I had multiple bad experiences in a row with LMC so I would rather go with somewhere else. If I order in the morning, sometimes I get same day delivery.

Wound up ordering from Gas Tank Depot, it doesn’t appear they’ve shipped yet though.

Sorry to hear that about LMC. I will admit the last time I was in there they acted put out that I hadn't called my order in ahead of time. I have had good luck with parts but my many previous visit the staff was pleasant but never mentioned I could save by calling ahead. I am glad ya found what ya needed though
