Well, I think I'm totally done with ANYONE working on my stuff. I've had a local guy do exhaust on a couple of my vehicles, and it hasn't been what I wanted but he's been decent. The thing is he can't do my tow truck, his lift stops at 9Klbs and the tow truck is a bit more than that. So there's another guy that can bend pipe and I've talked to him and we agreed that he could bend pipe and I'd do all the under the truck work because his lift won't touch my truck either. The problem is, he doesn't return my calls.........
So it's time to broaden my mechanical horizons, that's right SCREW EM, I'll do my own pipes!
My truck obviously has the 4"stacks, I just have to get from the engine to the stacks......... nothing to it.
I found some kits on ebay/Amazon of prebent pipes that had a bunch of great reviews for $100. The people who complained appeared to have irrational expectations. So I bought a kit of 2.5" and got it today (i actually delivered it to myself, I drive for FedEx) It really is some good pipe, it's a lot thicker than I expected. It'll be next week sometimes before I start on this but I figured I'd try to get some general feedback from y'all. The first thing you will want to ask about the kit is, "what are the"U"shapes for?" My answer is, "I don't know." But if you look these kits up, there's a few guys that posted pictures of unique ideas they had of how to use them.
There's 2-90°s 2-45°s 2-4' straights and 2 "U"s
I'm just straight piping it for now, I'm tired of the octopus that lives under my truck.
